JORDAN HOPE IS A VOCAL POWERHOUSE whose electrifying voice and magnetic stage presence create an emotional connection that leaves audiences breathless. A true vocal chameleon, she moves effortlessly across genres with power, precision, and soul, delivering performances that feel both intimate and larger-than-life.
“It was exciting to hear such strong pop music coming out of Columbus.”
A&R professional, Music Columbus event (after hearing “Someone Else”)
Born and raised near Cleveland, Jordan Hope grew up surrounded by wildly different sounds: her father’s 70s and 80s classic rock, jazz-rock, and soul (George Benson, Carole King, Earth Wind & Fire) mixed with her mother’s pop and modern country (Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Rascal Flatts). That rich blend gave her limitless influences and a voice that refuses to be boxed in.
She began performing in the vibrant Cleveland community theatre scene and quickly fell in love with singing. In high school she trained with opera legend Helen Todd, who encouraged her to pursue music professionally. At The Ohio State University, she studied vocal performance under Laura Brooks while singing in the OSU Chorale, University Chorus, Opera Theater, the acclaimed Ohio Show Band under jazz icon Shawn “Thunder” Wallace, and the competitive a cappella group The Ohio State of Mind.
Though classically trained, Jordan discovered her true passion for commercial soul and R&B during her time with the Ohio Show Band. Artists like Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, and Anita Baker changed everything. That fire drove her to found Buckeye Funk, a high-energy 70s/80s funk, soul, R&B, disco, and rock cover band where she serves as leader and vocalist. She has since become a featured singer with top Columbus acts including DT40, Unfinished Business, and Island Fever Brass, guested with The Werks and A-Go-Go, recorded background vocals for SlimeTimeRich and Rylee Bapst, and built a busy solo career with residencies at Mastro’s Steakhouse (Columbus, Malibu, and Boston) plus performances at major venues and festivals across Ohio.
“We were blown away! Jordan’s singing was beautiful…She brought great energy to our event, and it was exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend Jordan for your next event, whether big or small!”

In late 2025 Jordan released her first solo singles “Someone Else” and “Forevermore,” which quickly caught the attention of the Columbus music community. She followed with the two-song EP “When It Hurts Best” alongside SlimeTimeRich. Releasing original music was a turning point. For the first time she wasn’t just interpreting songs—she was creating them. That shift from waiting for the right band to becoming the artist she wanted to hear ignited a new level of joy and purpose.
“She’s not only extremely talented vocally, but also warm and engaging…gracious, professional, and with a beautiful voice that sets the perfect tone.”

Jordan will be back in the studio with Plaid Dog Recording in Boston recording her debut self-titled album. The first single, “Heavy,” is already out, and the full project drops in late summer 2026. She is also filming the official music video for “Someone Else,” set for release in early fall. With a growing national profile, sold-out residencies, and unstoppable creative momentum, Jordan Hope is ready to share her music with the world—and give listeners the same rush of emotion, joy, and connection music has always given her.
